The October meeting of the Lomira Area Chamber of Commerce will be Wednesday, October 14. We will meet at the Village Hall at 6:00 pm for highway cleanup. We will then meet in the park with Jane Kietzer and the historical society for a tour of the schoolhouse. After the tour we will meet at J-Lo's for our meeting and refreshments.

The Lomira Area Chamber of Commerce July meeting will be
held on Wednesday, July 9th at 7:00 pm at the Feed Mill Bar & Grill in
Knowles. The Board of Directors will meet at 6:40 pm for a short
meeting. We will have lunch consisting of pizza, garlic bread and
chicken pasta salad for $5.50 per person.
Enclosed please find the information for the Annual Golf Outing at
the Golf club at Camelot on August 13th, 2008•
The Annual Appreciation Day will be held on Sunday, August 31st.
The work schedule will be out soon. Please work for your scheduled
time or get your own replacement. We only ask that you work a 2 hour
shift. It's a great way to meet the customers who have done business
with you!

The Lomira Area Chamber of Commerce will be held on Wednesday. May 14th. We will start by meeting at the Village Hall at 6:30 p.m. for our semi annual highway clean up night. We will meet after at Ski & Bev's for a meeting a lunch consisting of BBQ pork sandwiches, Bev's famous cheesy potatoes, relishes and a cheese & sausage tray for the price of $5.50 per person. The Lomira Area Chamber of Commerce will meet at the American Legion Hall for the April meeting on Wednesday, April 9th at 7:00 p.m. We will have a lunch of hot pork sandwiches, sloppy joes, chips and a salad for $5.50.

The Lomira Area Chamber of Commerce May meeting will be held on Wednesday, May 10, 2006 at
7:00 PM at Lomira Auto in Lomira with a lunch to follow the meeting.
We will meet at the Lomira Village Hall at 6:30 PM, for the Spring garbage pickup and then head over to Lomira Auto for our monthly meeting. We will have as our guest speaker, Jeanne Marchant, Services Engineering Specialist from the Department of Transportation to inform us of the progress of the construction of the bridge work on Highway 67. Bring your friends and make sure to call Susie's Home Cooking to make reservations for lunch at 269-7229.
Let's have a good turn out for the garbage pickup along Highway 67 and the meeting.
If you are interested in acquiring more Lomira Books, please call Augie at 960-6677.
If you have not paid your 2006 dues they are still $35.00 per year. Avoid having the committee call you about the dues and pay them now.

Annual Banquet Meeting Dues and 2006 Annual Banquet Form
January 2006 meeting is at the Brownsville Commerce Club. 01-05-2006 Fellow Chamber Members,
The Lomira Area Chamber of Commerce Annual Banquet will be held on Saturday, January 21st, 2006 at the Brownsville Community Club. Cocktail hour will start at 6:30PM with dinner to follow. The price of the meal is $17.00 per person. The outstanding citizen of the year award will be presented to Elaine Muehlius. We will have music by Jim Vollmer from 9 - 11:00PM. We will also elect three new board members to replace outgoing president, Jim Bisek, outgoing secretary, Jane Kietzer, and outgoing vise president, Gary Fleischman.
Reservation forms for the annual banquet are included along with your bill for the 2006 dues. Please send in your reservations no later than Monday, January 16th, 2006

December 2005 Meeting

The Lomira Area Chamber of Commerce December meeting will be held on Wednesday, December 14 at the Amerihost Inns & Suites in Lomira. The meeting will begin at 7:00 p.m. with a lunch to be served. This is our Champagne Christmas meeting and we will be voting on the Outstanding Citizen of the Year.

November 2005 Meeting
The November 2005 Meeting will be at Bublitz's with dinner at 6:00 p.m. and meeting to start at 7:00 p.m. There will be a speaker talking about the proposed wind farm. The money raised by the FBLA at the silent auction at our Annual Appreciation Day will be used this spring for scholarships. Brat Fry with the Band students and parents has been added to the Band CD. Now is the time to submit your choice for Outstanding Citizen of the Year. This will be voted on at the Dec. meeting. The annual banquet will be held on Sat., Jan. 28, 2006 at the Brownsville Community Club.

October 2005 Meeting
The Lomira Area Chamber of Commerce October meeting will be held on Wednesday, October 12th at Ski & Bev's. We will meet at 6:00 p.m. at the Village Hall for the annual fall adopt-a-highway clean up. The business meeting will following at approximately 6:45 p.m. In case of bad weather, the meeting will still take place. Thank you to all who helped at Appreciation Day. It was very successful.

April 2005 Meeting

The Lomira Area Chamber of Commerce April meeting will be held on Wednesday, April 12, 2005 at M J's Foods & Spirits 521 Main Street Brownsville, WI 53006 (920) 583-4037 . The meeting will begin at noon with lunch.

It appears that the Jaycees will probably not be sponsoring the annual Christmas parade. Do we as the Chamber want to try to continue this new seasonal tradition? It seems that the parade has been getting more popular every year. If we choose to continue it, we will need volunteers to organize and run the parade. Anyone interested?

The Christmas Parade will be taken over by the Lomira Chamber of Commerce.
New American flags will be put on Village of Lomira Signs, corner of Church and East Avenue.

March 2005 Meeting

The Lomira Area Chamber of Commerce March meeting will be held this Wednesday, March 9 at Bublitz's Family Restaurant. Cocktails will be available at 5:30 p.m., dinner from 6-7:00 p.m. (optional) and the meeting will begin at 7:00 p.m. The Department of Transportation will be present to give us a heads up on what to expect during the reconstruction of the Hwy 67 interchange project in the summer of 2006.

If you have not paid your dues for 2005 please do so at your earliest convenience.

Some work will begin late this fall on the Hwy 67/41 bridge replacement project. Full construction will start June 2006. Ramp closure will be kept to a minimum. State will try to keep all areas open though out the construction.

The Lomira Area Chamber of Commerce Annual Banquet will be held on Saturday, January 29th, 2005 at the Brownsville Community Club. Cocktail hour will start at 6:30PM with dinner to follow. The Price of the meal is $15.50 per person. The family style meal will include oven roasted pork, meat balls and gravy, real mashed potatoes, 7 layer salad, peas and carrots, rolls, relishes and dessert. The outstanding citizen of the year award will be presented to Tom "Ski" Philipsky.

December 2004 Meeting

The December meeting of the Lomira Chamber of Commerce will be held on Wednesday, December 8th, 2004 at Bublitz's Family Restaurant. We will be having lunch at 7:00PM from the buffet and the meeting will follow.

This is an important meeting as we will be choosing the Outstanding Citizen Award. The award will be announced in the January newsletter thus getting the word out before3 the annual chamber banquet on January 29th, 2005.

Reservation forms for the annual banquet will be included in the January newsletter along with your payment of the 2005 dues.

Once again, the time to make your nomination for Lomira Area's Outstanding Citizen in now. Any one in the Lomira area is eligible and anyone can make a nomination by submitting a nomination letter to the chamber by Wednesday, December 8th, 2004

The October meeting of the Lomira Area Chamber of Commerce will be held on Wednesday October 13th, 2004. We will meet at the village hall parking lot at 6:30 PM for our Hi-Way clean-up. After the clean-up the meeting will be held at Bev and Ski's at 7:00 PM with lunch for $5.00 per person.

A special thanks to all who worked at the Appreciation Day on Sunday, September 5th, 2004, the event was a huge success.

Fellow Chamber Members, Our May meeting will be on Wednesday, May 12th. We will meet at the Village Hall at 6:30PM for our spring Adopt a Highway clean up. The meeting will follow at 7:15PM with lunch at Bev and Ski's.
